Privacy Policy

1. Who operates CutTempo

CutTempo is operated by Borealbit Technology Limited. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@borealbit.com.

2. Information processed on your device

The ALS workspace saves recent sessions, including selected files, prompts, note evidence and candidates, in this browser using IndexedDB. Download important candidates before clearing browser data. Your original file is not overwritten. Selecting an ALS file sends it to our service for inspection; this is not local-only processing.

You can clear browser site data to remove locally stored session information.

3. Optional cloud features

Creating a candidate sends your ALS file and musical instructions to our service. The Agent uses symbolic note evidence to propose edits. Cloudflare provides the Agent runtime and AI processing; uploaded files and run state may be retained by the runtime. Closing the tab does not delete server-side run data. Contact support for deletion requests. Do not upload material you are not authorized to use.

Google sign-in is handled through our authentication provider. Account features process identity and session information, and credit purchases use Stripe. Authentication, billing, and security providers may retain records needed to operate those services.

4. Support communications

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any files you choose to attach. We use that information to answer the request and diagnose the issue. Ordinary support records are deleted within 24 months after the request is closed unless a shorter period is requested or a longer period is legally required.

5. Analytics, advertising and cookies

The current CutTempo web application does not include third-party advertising trackers or behavioral advertising. Essential infrastructure may process standard request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamp and requested path for security, reliability and abuse prevention. CutTempo does not intentionally place project documents or media contents in application logs. Routine application and security logs are retained for no more than 30 days unless an incident or legal obligation requires a longer, documented hold.

We record aggregate first-party workflow events for guide visits, workspace entry, accepted imports, review opening and candidate download requests. These events include a fixed entry category, a ChatGPT referral flag when available, and whether the input was our symbolic sample or an uploaded file. They do not send filenames, instructions, MIDI content, raw referrer URLs, cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Events are stored with routine application logs under the retention period above. A download request does not prove a saved file or successful playback in Ableton Live.

6. Retention and deletion

Local project data remains until you replace it, clear browser site data or the browser removes it. Cloud projects and media remain until you delete the project or the cloud workspace. Database records are deleted transactionally when the request succeeds. R2 objects are deleted immediately when available; a durable cleanup queue retries any provider failure every ten minutes until it succeeds.

Access-restricted operational database backups are kept for no more than 30 days, then deleted. A deletion may therefore remain in a restricted backup until that backup expires; a backup is restored only for disaster recovery and deleted records are re-applied where technically feasible. Legal preservation requirements may temporarily override these periods.

7. Service providers and international processing

CutTempo uses Cloudflare for application delivery, Agent execution, AI processing, D1 database storage and R2 object storage; Neon Auth for authentication; Google for sign-in; and Stripe for credit purchases. Those providers process information under contract and their own security and data-processing terms. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live.

8. Your choices and rights

Downloaded ALS candidates remain under your control. The current ALS workspace does not expose a cloud-project deletion drawer. Contact support to request deletion of uploaded data or account records; closing the tab only clears the in-memory workspace. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us with the email address and project information needed to verify and fulfill the request.

9. Children and changes

CutTempo is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy when product features or legal requirements change; the date at the top identifies the latest version.
